From 8.30am this morning the snow began to fall again on Weston super Mare and the surrounding area causing misery for drivers and commuters with further bad weather forecast for the next few days.
The met office has issued severe weather warnings for the West Country and is urging people not to venture outside unless absolutely essential.

Weather for Weston super Mare - Monday 20th December 2010
North Somerset has been hit by several inches of snow overnight after weather forecasts stated the chance of snow to be minimal for the area. The BBC Weather service had previously been forecasting light rain for last night, however it appears they got it wrong! Weston residents awoke to 2 inches of snow in some parts which inevitably caused travel chaos for many residents of the town particularly around the motorway junction at Worle and St Georges.
The weather is set to continue with more snow forecast for tonight and through the weekend with lows of -6 celsius. So remember to take extra time for any essential journeys and take a look at the video at the bottom of this article for tips on how to drive safely in the snow.
